Sydney Independent Opera delves deep into the dark and complex world of the narcissistic sociopath that is Don Giovanni in their final production of 2013. Often considered Mozart’s best opera, this morality tale, drawn from the legendary, fictional character of Don Juan, examines the sexual and emotional responsibility of one of opera’s most brazen and charismatic womanisers. The Don’s arrogant air of untouchability and machismo is a contrast to explorations of consequence, moral outrage and revenge as Mozart’s timeless genius (with some great help by da Ponte) takes our flawed hero from smooth operator to hell-bound rebel!


Randall Stewart, Qestra Mulqueeny, Salina Bussien, Maia Andrews, Paul Smith, Alastair Colgrave, Ian Fisher and Joshua Salter star in Paulo Montoya‘s innovative and exciting new production.

Since 1985, the funniest comedians, actors, improvisers, writers and performers, have thrown away their scripts and stepped up the to the edge of the comedy cliff… and jumped off!



These comedy lemmings have swan-dived into the unknown, like ad-lib parachutists, like laughing lunatic base jumpers, freefalling with just their wits, their best one-liners and their craziest comic characters to save them from disaster!


And it’s all for your pleasure!

For nearly 30 years audiences have come along to belly laugh at the antics of these brave teams of comics as they either succeed or fail epically!

Every year, wave after wave of teams, scared scriptless and desperate to score big with the judges, play to win their way through the Heats, Semi-finals, and then all the way to the Enmore Theatre for the Grand Final, and the chance to engrave their names on the Theatresports Holy Grail, the Cranston Cup!



Each week they battle it out for the honour of being crowned the funniest, most inventive, most spontaneous and just sheer craziest performers in Australia!

At The Train Shed, you can ride with:

The ride takes you across the bridge over the pond, past "Gnome Knoll", "Trevor" and "Crock's Scrapyard", across the bridge again, down around the "Branch Line", through the tunnel and back up to Wellsworth Station.

Inside the Thomas Shop, children (and adults who refuse to grow up) can drive the Model Train Layout all by themselves, taking Thomas, Toby, James or Percy on a tour of the Isle of Sodor, making up their own
"Thomas" stories while they play.



When you arrive at The Train Shed, you simply can't miss our Sydney Suburban Double-Decker Carriage - yes, it's a real one! Many parents may remember travelling on carriages like these when they were younger.



The double-pass is for two children and gives each child 4 train rides.

Long before Justin Timberlake was “bringing sexy back”, before Madonna was a “material girl” and even before The Beatles had “come together”, there were The Drifters, who became an international chart phenomenon in the 1950s.


As one of the world’s biggest selling groups of all time, The Drifters created a huge catalogue of more than fifty hits – with such timeless classics as Under the Boardwalk, There Goes my Baby and This Magic Moment. As the 50th anniversary of the assassination approaches, this frank, funny, heartbreaking new play from award-winning Melbourne playwright Ron Elisha (In Duty Bound, Einstein, Two, Impropriety) strips away the public facades of these two extraordinary people to explore what it is inside one human being that engenders love in another.


Michael Dean directs two of Australian theatre’s rising stars, Lizzie Schebesta (Mrs Warren’s Profession for STC and Macbeth for Bell Shakespeare) and Ben Wood (Henry IV for Bell and Empire for TRS) in this, Elisha’s newest and most intriguing creation. This is the premiere performance of the Dance Makers Collective.
This is the premiere performance of the Dance Makers Collective. Ten dance artists present nine new and exciting short works – explosive dance in tiny bursts. Featuring a live dance and film work about boxing people in; a solo dancer orbiting a flautist and animator; and a group performance by nine dancers taking charge of their voices. Choreographers, dancers, filmmakers, musicians, visual artists, lighting and set designers team up to transform the theatre space into a constantly evolving visual landscape where anything can happen.



The Dance Makers Collective is an initiative that has been set up to accommodate young and emerging dance artists working in Sydney. It provides a network of dancers and collaborators as a base of support and exchange, where positive working relationships can be established to help build sustainable careers in dance.
