The Husband Stitch And Twisted Violet Halloween...
Event Date: 04/11/2026, 06:30 pm
Sydney | Nov 11 | Round out the spooky season with this double bill of genre bending new work.
THE HUSBAND STITCH by Carmen Maria Machado, adapted by Katie Picton, directed by Simon Porro;
and
TWISTED VIOLET written and directed by Kirsty McGuire
At Flight Path Theatre, Addison Road, Marrickville, 6.30PM & 8.00PM Nov 4-7th.
In THE HUSBAND STITCH a woman recounts her life from girlhood to motherhood, as she is shaped by her desire, devotion and deeply rooted beliefs. Drawing on urban legend and gothic horror, the Husband Stitch unravels the complex relationship between control and intimacy, romance and agency for a woman who is expected to give everything for her husband.
TWISTED VIOLET is a genre-smashing, watch-from-behind-your-hands one act play, blending elevator horror, Arthurian fairytale, and a pinch of Lynch. A man awakens deep in the woods with an axe beside him, a priceless string of pearls around his neck and no memory of who he is or how he got there. In his search for answers he encounters strangers who say they are his friends, but can they be trusted?
