The Great Gig In The Sky
CCE's hugely popular'The Great Gig In The Sky' celebration of Pink Floyd is set to play Mounties for the very first time.

This brilliant homage concert features numerous gems from The Wall, Wish You were here and Dark Side Of The Moon showcased by the exceptional guest vocalists Hugh Wilson, Mark DaCosta, Susannah Mirana and Emily Hanks.

Inimitablecreative director Joseph Calderazzo will fine-tune a superb eight-piece band that includes Joel Sena, AngeTsoltoudis, Alex Hewetson, Paul Najar and Mitch Farmer.

With a reputation for breathtaking moments and stunning interpretations this show has sold out in Sydney venues since 2003 and is simply unmissable, so don't wish you were there, book now!

Week Three – with 10 short plays nightly
Short+Sweet has spread the popular 10-minute format in theatre, dance, cabaret & comedy across Australia and the globe – with festivals now as far afield as Hollywood, India, Malaysia, Dubai and NZ.
Its Hollywood festival is one of the world’s go-to showcases for new talent on stage and screen.
But the original Sydney theatre festival is now in its 17th year and has a new home in Surry Hills’ Tom Mann Theatre.

Festival director Pete Malicki is a Short+Sweet legend, having written and directed for the fest for well over a decade.
This year S+S will again feature not only the judges’ voting and the People’s Choice audience votes,
but his director’s picks – all heading for the April Gala Finals.

Week 3
Short Plays are Out of this World! Plus love, hate & death…

Same-sex marriage, blind love, end-of-life decisions, prejudice, and various absurdist inversions of reality
all feature in Week Three of ‘the biggest little play festival in the world’.

Bespoken Word is a monthly fresh new night of wonderful live storytelling & comedy.
Bespoken Word brings together Sydney's most interesting and exciting writers, entertainers and comedians for an evening of hilarious true storytelling!

The first half of the evening, hosted by Kate Iselin, sees our special guests telling short, pre-written stories on a specific theme. The second half of the evening, hosted by John Knowles is a live episode of his successful Comedy Festival show and ABC702 Radio Afternnoon segment 'I Can Top That!'. John and three guests take the stage to tell completely true yet totally unprepared stories inspired by topic suggestions from the audience.

The stories told at Bespoken Word can be shocking, others embarrassing, insightful, sweet or just plain hilarious. It's a smorgasbord of real life adventures and raw revelations with an emphasis on vulnerability, confession and laughter. Staged at the cosy Petersham Bowling Club, known for its welcoming community and artsy offerings, Bespoken Word aims to create a friendly modern version of traditional parlour entertainment.

Featuring leading Australian and Chinese performers Taryn Fiebig (Helpmann Award-winning soprano for Opera Australia); Cassandra Seidemann (Mezzo Soprano, Principal Artist for Opera Queensland and Olga in ‘The Merry Widow’, Brisbane 2018); Yi Ding (The Three Tenors of China and former principal tenor of Opera Australia); Chen-Ye Yuan (leading baritone at the National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing); Sharon Zhai (Soprano for Opera Australia and Cio-Cio-San in the touring production of Madame Butterfly in 2018); Xiao-duo Chen (Soprano for the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater); Yafen (award-winning Chinese soprano for folk songs) and Jia-Ping Bian.
