Murder Village

Event Date: 27/06/2023, 07:30 pm

Murder Village: An Improvised Whodunnit - Sydney
It’s Agatha Christie, improvised! After winning the Meraki Arts Bar Remount Award at Sydney Fringe in 2022, Murder Village returns to Sydney for more cunningly improvised whodunnits.

Immerse yourself in the cozy world of a 1950s Agatha Christie-style novel as the country’s funniest improvisers craft eccentric characters and perplexing mysteries from your suggestions. Any of the village’s suspicious denizens could be dispatched at any moment, and any of them could be the murderer. It’s your secret ballot votes that determine who lives, who dies and who will be unmasked as the culprit.

In Murder Village, the local police inspector may be incompetent but thankfully there is always an amateur
sleuth on hand to sort the red herrings from the tell-tale clues. See if you can solve the crime first…
whether you see one show or all of them, no two chapters of this critically acclaimed show are the same!

“Completely enthralling… ★★★★★” - Theatre People
“Fully improvised and very funny... highly recommended. ★★★★” - Sydney Arts Guide
“A classic English murder mystery that’s fully improvised and loaded with humour.” - The Age
“Murder, mystery, mayhem and outright comic brilliance.” - Weekend Notes
"A laugh-out-loud, rollicking good show; who knew murder could be so entertaining" - The Plus Ones

A delightful animated adventure for the whole family, showing at selected Cinemas across Australia
Win a family pass for 4 people, film opens on 22 June, but the pass will be for any showing and is valid for any cinema across Australia showing the film.

A young cat named Vincent, in the company of Maurice the mouse, escapes from the flood in an old harpsichord, which is picked up by sailors and sent to St. Petersburg, where it ends up in the Hermitage. There, Vincent meets an elite feline squad that has been protecting artwork from mice and other pests for centuries. Vincent dreams of finding a real cat family, but does not want to lose his friend Maurice, who saved his life. Vincent has to hide a friend, who also has one “little weakness” – Maurice loves to gnaw on masterpieces of painting. The situation becomes even more complicated when one of the greatest paintings of mankind, the Mona Lisa, arrives in the Hermitage, and it is the dream of all mice to gnaw it. But neither Vincent, nor Maurice, nor the cats of the Hermitage suspect that the painting is going to be stolen. And now Vincent will have to show all his resourcefulness and courage in order to save the masterpiece, protect the honour of the museum and win the love of a cat named Cleopatra from the Egyptian hall.
