Australian Premiere of Anna Jordan's YEN
New Ghosts Theatre Company in association with KXT bAKEHOUSE Theatre Company present the Australian premiere of Anna Jordan's Bruntwood Prize winning YEN from the 27th September - 13th October 2018 at Kings Cross Theatre.

“I’m Bobbie. As in Bobbie Dazzler, my Nan says, although I don’t know who that is. And this is my brother Hench. He’s got a face for radio.”

Hench is 16, Bobbie is 14. They’re home alone in Feltham with their dog Taliban; playing PlayStation, streaming porn, watching the world go by. Sometimes their mum Maggie visits, usually with empty pockets and empty promises.

Then Jenny shows up.

YEN explores a childhood lived without boundaries and the consequences of being forced to grow up on your own.

In Deadly Dinosaurs, Steve is on the hunt for the most deadly animals to have walked the earth: dinosaurs. Razor-sharp claws, giant whipping tails and the infamous T-Rex are hunted-down in the quest to find the world’s deadliest dinosaur.
In his explorer’s Dino Den, Steve brings dinosaurs back to life with cutting-edge CGI. Outside of the lab, the spectacle is cranked up to the max in a series of epic stunts, which reveal the raw power and scale of Steve’s favourite and most deadly dinosaurs. A combination of breath-taking spectacle and physical daring is served up in this immersive, action-packed cinema event. Think you know dinosaurs? Think again!

Libidos run riot in this darkest of farces, stuffed full of twists and turns, mishaps and changes of fortune, coincidences and lunatic logic, as six characters gradually lose the plot, their wits and/or their clothes.

Orton lays out a smorgasbord of politically-incorrect taboos in deliberately bad taste, attacking society’s hypocrisy and the established order with his delicious brand of outrageous and subversive provocation.

Highly controversial when it premiered in 1969, What The Butler Saw retains its ability to shock, even though what society deemed unacceptable 50 years ago has fluctuated over time. The play remains a joyous and very, very silly celebration of queerness.

Professional bridesmaids, a character who converses in biblical verse and a village called Rederring.

Gilbert & Sullivan’s 10th collaboration, The Ghosts of Ruddigore, sees the continuation of the pair’s comic brilliance.

Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney are bringing this hilarious parody of Victorian melodrama to North Sydney on October 5, 6,7,12,13 and 14.

This production has some great larger-than-life characters, including a villain who carries off a maiden; the primly perfect heroine; a hero in disguise; a snake in the grass and a ‘fraid’ of ghosts!!

Good becomes bad – and bad becomes good in the village of Rederring.

After premiering on January 21, 1887 at the Savoy Theatre in London, The Ghosts of Ruddigore ran for 288 performances.

The story follows Robin Oakapple, a shy, upstanding gentleman farmer who is desperate to ask the lovely Rose Maybud to marry him.

But he hasn’t the courage!

The truth is he hides a dark secret; he is the heir to a curse on all Baronets of Ruddigore and has been living in disguise to escape an evil fate.

But the truth is discovered. And Robin is forced to obey the family curse that dictates he must commit a felony every day – or face a lingering death! How will he ever win Rose and return to a tranquil, virtuous life on the farm?!
